Portland Opera’s Resident Artists perform at community events throughout their two-year residency and training program and are featured in roles in mainstage productions throughout the season. They will also perform solo recitals at Portland Art Museum’s Whitsell Auditorium in the spring and summer of 2019. Portland Opera Chorus Master and Assistant Conductor Nicholas Fox is the pianist for all recitals.
THOMAS CILLUFFO, tenor, returns to the Resident Artist program for his second year this season. Cilluffo made his mainstage debut with Portland Opera as a soloist in the 2018 Big Night concert and also performed the role of Borsa in Rigoletto. This season, Cilluffo will sing the roles of Count Belfiore in Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera, the Officer in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and will be a soloist in the annual Big Night concert.
