Describe what you do for Portland Opera

Assist in casting, programming, and discovering new and up-and-coming vocal talent and production teams.

What music/book/movie/show/poem/place/moment is currently inspiring you?

#SayTheirNames: Women of the Movement is a visual/music project I curated in collaboration with the LyricFest of Philadelphia organization who produced the film. It spotlights 4 Black women throughout history (Sojourner Truth #womensrights, Ida B. Wells #antilynching, Fannie Lou Hamer #votingrights and Dr. Kimberly Crenshaw #sayhername) that have lead social justice movements that have affected change.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A veterinarian

In my free time, you can usually find me...

Scrolling on Instagram or watching documentaries on Netflix

What has your favorite quarantine activity been?

Developing and launching my very popular Facebook live talk show Kiki Konversations. I've had the opportunity to interview amazing artists during this period.

What is your favorite Portland Opera memory?

When Sue Dixon called me and asked if I would be an artistic advisor for the company!
