I am a founding member and Executive Director of Renegade Opera! We create immersive, accessible opera experiences in Portland. Mostly recently I participated in Bird Songs of Opera, an outdoor recital that paired fabulously costumed NW Birds (Stellar's Jay, Northern Flicker, Anna's Hummingbird, etc.) with famous opera arias and took place at Leach Botanical Garden! It was truly a feast for all the senses.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Disney Princess or a veterinarian.
Do you have hike/park/scenic view in Oregon that inspires you?
That first view of the ocean when you get to the coast. It's especially awesome if you arrive just in time for sunset and if you've got cool rocks to look at!
What is the most interesting/unusual job you've ever had?
In college I was an intermural flag football referee. All the other referees were members of the college's football team and I would wear my little pink jacket to trainings with all these folks who were twice my size!
