When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

As a child I wanted to be a performer in the mode of Paul Robeson. An astute performer as well as a socially aware advocate for all repressed people.

At a comic bookstore, which are plentiful in Portland.

I really enjoy Crater Lake in the Ashland area. That place is amazing!!

What's your favorite season in Portland/why?

I really enjoy the summers in Portland. The days are nice and sunny, the rains are gone, and it doesn’t get humid or buggy like in the Midwest.

Do you have a favorite local visual artist/musician/filmmaker/performer that you think everyone should know about?

I think that David Saffert, a Portland based pianist and performer, is a wonderful artist and his Liberace tribute concerts are always a hoot.

What's your favorite bike path/greenway/route in Portland?

Anywhere with a waterfall.

What is the most interesting/unusual job you've ever had?

I was a stage crew helper at my high school in Indiana and we often had many headline artists appear in our auditorium including Gil Scott Heron, the Ebony Fashion Show, and Can Cliburn. I would raise and lower the curtain on these great acts.
