The Portland Opera Orchestra
Portland Opera is fortunate to have the musical services of The Portland Opera Orchestra. Composed of extremely talented local musicians, the Orchestra members all belong to the American Federation of Musicians, Local #99. How many orchestra members are in the pit for any given opera varies, depending totally on the requirements of the score. When not performing with Portland Opera, the Orchestra members add immeasurably to our community in private roles as music teachers and a wide-ranging variety of other professions.
