a small class for advanced students, esp. a class in performance skills conducted by a

distinguished musician.

 

The public is welcome to bring lunch and enjoy an open-format opera Master Class presented by Alexis Hamilton, Portland Opera’s Manager of Education and Outreach. An opera singer in her own right (she gave an acclaimed performance as Mrs. Herring in last season’s Albert Herring), Ms. Hamilton will coach an opera chorister on her presentation and singing technique. While relaxing with lunch, the audience will gain unique insight into the skill and technique required for opera singing, and enjoy some live music along the way. Portland Opera’s Principal Accompanist Thomas Webb will play piano.

WHERE: Multnomah County Central Library (801 SW 10th Ave) in the U.S. Bank room.

These ongoing lunch presentations are held at Multnomah County Central Library from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on the First Friday of each month.
