- Resident Artists
As part of its commitment to our community, Portland Opera makes its final dress rehearsal available to the region's students. We believe in the power of opera as an educational tool and believe educators and families should be able to use the arts to explore the imagination, to enrich their lives, and to investigate other academic areas.
Doors open at 6:30pm. The rehearsal begins at 7:00pm. As with all of Portland Opera performances, there is no late seating, so please allow plenty of time to arrive at the theater.
How To Get Tickets
To obtain Student Dress Rehearsal tickets, please call 503-321-5261 or email with your name, your school affiliation and the address you would like order forms sent to. Your information will be added to the dress rehearsal list. For each subsequent opera, you will receive an order form about a month prior to each dress rehearsal. A study guide is available for each opera free of charge in pdf format. Please indicate on the order form in the space provided whether you would like to receive curriculum via email.
Orders received after the due date will not be processed. We do not accept purchase orders. There are no refunds or exchanges. Only order forms for the current production will be accepted. Orders without a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) will not be processed. If we are unable to seat you, we will return your payment in your SASE.
Ticket prices are $12.00 for students and $15.00 for educators/chaperones.
Ticketing priority is as follows: 1) Groups of K-12 students; 2) Groups of college students; and 3) Groups of less than ten.
Student Groups should consist of 10 or more with a ratio of at least three students to one adult. (We ask that home-schoolers honor a ratio of three students to one adult as well.)
